Overview
At present, the creation of a sustainable society by constructing a low-carbon, recycling-oriented society that coexists with nature is becoming a shared global goal. The Sustainability Research Institute, which was inaugurated in July 2009, consists of five research laboratories (research fields), which conduct research on environmental sustainability topics such as sustainable agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries, waste-related issues, and utilization of energy that uses natural resources.
