Graduate School of Environmental and Information Studies

Master the most advanced and deepest aspects of Environmental Studies through three fields of study

Environmental issues do not only threaten human society, but will also lead to devastating effects on human society if left ignored. The establishment of systematic Environmental Studies in relation to the environmental field is indispensible in order to guide the way to solutions to these diverse problems and phenomena.

The aim of the Graduate School of Tottori University of Environmental Studies is for students to acquire environmental specialist knowledge and technology, in addition to the ability to implement actions to contribute to society. In order to further deepen insight from the dual perspectives of natural science and the human and social sciences, the Graduate School has established three fields of study: the Social Environmental Study Field, Environmental Design Field, and Information Systems Field. Study is not limited to so-called environmental issues, and perceptions are expanded to cultural issues such as history and art, business administration issues including economics and agriculture, and science and technology issues such as architecture and information, providing a curriculum in which students learn multilaterally about the various issues faced by society.
